Gateway Christian Church

Loving God, Loving People, Living Life!

Visiting? Welcome!

Who comes?

Gateway consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome.

When to arrive:
We serve tea & coffee in the foyer from 10am. If you are driving then you'll be pleased to hear that there is plenty of free parking. For directions to reach us please see the
Where? page. You'll be greeted on arrival by folks  who will be able to show you the way and answer questions you might have.

What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not. Whether you come 'suited & booted' or in your favourite pair of jeans - you'll be welcome.

What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Gateway.

First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something please simply ask.

We start our meeting at 10.30am and enjoy singing (we have live musicians & the lyrics are projected for all to see).

We also have a few notices keeping us informed of diary dates etc.. Everyone is together at first then the kids and youth go to their own groups, we also run a creche for the little ones.

We then have a talk from the bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. We aim to finish our meeting by midday and follow it up with tea, coffee and an opportunity for a chat or a prayer.

Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

For those with disabilities:
We aim to be an all-inclusive church. However our resources are limited so we try to provide for our current attendees. If you wish to discuss specific needs please contact the church office. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have reserved parking spaces near the entrance. The foyer, hall and the toilets are all accessible. We do not currently have a loop for the hearing impaired (please tell us if this would be helpful).

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!
